Presence is an exploration of shapes and forms and the space within them.

“Presence” delves deeply into the intricate relationship between the tangible and the intangible, manifested through a meticulous study of shapes, forms, and the often-overlooked spaces they encapsulate. Craig Spencer, a renowned Byron Bay-based artist, presents pieces that capture his current artistic inspirations, underscoring the fleeting nature of moments and the ever-evolving passion for his craft.

Crafted with the utmost reverence for the innate elegance of porcelain, each piece stands as a beacon of Spencer’s unadulterated engagement with the material. There is an innate intimacy in the process: the tactile sensation of damp, malleable clay coursing through fingers, giving rise to forms—sometimes deliberate, at other times serendipitous.
